The San Francisco Men's Spanking Party and The Power Exchange

Purely in the selfless interest of keeping my readers abreast of upcoming events, I would like to call your attention to the The San Francisco Men's Spanking Party taking place at The Power Exchange Adult Entertainment Club in San Francisco on Sunday, April 12, 2015. The time is from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. (Great timing for attending after church.) The San Francisco Men's  Spanking Party is not a classic leather S&M group, but more for guys into the traditional old fashioned spanking over daddy's knee or fraternity style initiation pledge paddling. Entrance is twenty dollars but half price with a student or military ID.The event is open to gay or straight men. However, if you're a straight man and attend this event,  let me just suggest that Cleopatra is not the only queen of De-Nile. ( NO judgement, just saying.)

Moving on to The Power Exchange! The Power Exchange is an Adult Entertainment Club featuring play areas, dungeons, and fantasy rooms. It's open seven days per week from 9pm to 5am.There is a secure clothes check room. ( Yes, you can check ALL your clothes.) and the venue is Pan Sexual.
(Don't ask, I don't know what that means. That's why God created Google.) It is also drug and alcohol free, so you can't blame anything that you choose to do as a consenting adult on the A...Aaa...Alcohol. Club pricing on regular nights seems to vary. However,  just a tip for those on a budget, uncoupled individuals (male or female) dressed in female attire seem to get the largest price break. Before visiting, I would advise that you read their online rules regarding dungeon etiquette.

Now, I know the question that you're really dying to ask is, will Ms. Brown be attending the Spanking Party? Well, sadly, The San Francisco Men's Spanking Party is an all male event and as I'm sure you can tell, Coffy Brown is all woman. Further, although Ms. Brown is indeed delicate and feminine, she has never been into the whole Christian Grey submissive Fifty Shades thing as a lifestyle. ( The book was good though. I didn't actually read it myself. I just heard.) In fact, if  Mr. Coffee comes home and decides to begin hitting me with whips and canes, I think that it will be time to serve "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and hot lead is on the menu. To quote the acclaimed relationship guru Annie Oakley," I ain't afraid to love a man. I ain't afraid to shoot him neither." My Tiffany Hot Lead Waffle Iron is pictured below:

So now, I think you have all the information that you need to attend the San Francisco Men's Spanking Party in grand style! Enjoy! Gotta go! Meeting Christi....ahem, I mean " Mr. Coffee" and heading away for the weekend on Charlie Tango! Bye for now!

Keep it hot and sweet,
Ms. Brown

Life is a hopelessly mangled Cabaret!

Well, as I posted earlier, I attended Frank Olivier's Twisted Cabaret at the Great Star Theater in San Francisco on Saturday night. Now, I really have a hard time saying bad things about events because I think it's my responsibility to help EVERYONE succeed in their chosen endeavors and in keeping with that goal, I sing an acappella  R&B version of Kumbaya in the car on my way to work every morning. The reality is: I just don't like to say bad things about people. It's simply not very nice. And, being nice at all times is what I live for. (Now, if you believe any of what I just said, then let me inform you that Elvis is living a happy, quiet  life in a Graceland themed double wide situated just outside of Lodi, California.)  Now, back to the matter at hand, as  my grandmother used to say, "facts is facts". And Frank Olivier's Twisted Cabaret was a little too twisted for me. Don't get me wrong, I generally enjoy seeing a middle aged, balding man who has never experienced the sun riding a unicycle in a pink tutu. Doesn't everybody? But, after that portion of the show, things went swiftly down hill. My best description is that Frank Olivier's Twisted Cabaret is a cross between a carnival side show, The Rocky Horror Picture show, and bodily functions that we generally don't display in public. ( Three things that should NEVER go together in the same sentence. I know.) Other highlights of the show were the card trick where a member of the audience picked a card off his ass with her teeth.( Please refer back to my statement about Frank Olivier never having experienced the sun to get the accurate visual.) And, a sketch displaying how many spit bubbles Mr. Olivier can blow in sixty seconds.( Let me tell you, any six month old teething baby can beat him at that any day of the week. And, I can see that for free!)

Now, with all that being said, I was one of the few people in the audience who didn't seem to be enjoying themselves. I think everyone else in the audience was either a Non-English speaking tourist, a member of Mr. Olivier's immediate family or drunk.( But,  the OTHER possibility is that they were Non-English speaking tourists, members of Mr. Olivier's immediate family AND drunk.)

So, let's talk about pricing. The price was $350.00 for four VIP passes , $32.00 for general admission and $16.00 General Admission on Goldstar.com ( that's what I paid). I find myself oddly obsessed with what they could possibly be offering to justify paying $350.00 for four VIP passes to see this show. I've decided that the VIP ticket package must include free alcohol, an accurate map quest to the fountain of youth, three wishes from a genie, and world peace. Those are the only things that would make this show worth that price. Honestly, the only redeeming feature of the night was the glow in the dark , bacon flavored cotton candy. ( Yes, I'm serious.) So, if you need something interesting to do on a Saturday night, let me just recommend watching grass grow as an option to seeing this show. Watching grass grow is much more entertaining. Talk to you soon!

Keep it hot and sweet,
Ms. Brown

Black Paris Tours and Brown Girl Bloggers!

Many people have been asking me where I got a number of the ideas for my blog. The name is an aggregate of two Pam Grier movies ( Coffy and Foxy Brown). However, I have to say that the initial inspiration came from Ricki Stevenson of Black Paris Tours. I was so amazed by her energy , spirit , courage, and creativity that I wanted to tap into that part of myself. I was also inspired by BlackGirlsRockInc. - a non profit youth empowering and mentoring organization established to promote the arts for young women of color as well as to encourage dialog and analysis of the way women of color are portrayed in the media. There are also brands like One Brown Girl, Brown Girl Collective, Pretty Brown Girl, Brown Girl Magazine, and Brown Girl Dreaming that gave me the impetus to stop dreaming about it and do it!

Later, many of the concrete ideas came from www.browngirlbloggers.com. My goal in blogging is NOT to make this blog a business venture.  My goal IS to add my voice in harmony to all the others out there. And as Ray Charles would say,"Make it do what it do!"
Keep on rocking in the free world,
Ms. Brown

For some reason, I took a photo of my breakfast at the Parisian cafe where I met Ricki to begin the tour.
See anything familiar? (Hint: Cafe au Lait)

Happy Easter!

Percolating also known as Under Construction

There are two things in the world that I love to do. One is to have new and exciting experiences. The other is to share those experiences and my thoughts about them with others. So, I decided to create a blog that chronicles my adventures in a way that not only shares the experiences but hopefully,  intrigues the reader enough to go out and make some memories of their own. After all, this is not a rehearsal for your life, this IS your life. With that being said, I will be attending various and sundry events and writing reviews of them in this blog. Most events will be in the San Francisco Bay Area where I live. But, when I take a vacation, I will share those experiences as well.An example of events that I will be attending are concerts, restaurants, plays, art exhibits, volunteering with non-profits, vintage clothing faires, wine tastings, pole dancing lessons ( Yes, I said pole dancing lessons. Don't try to put me in a box. I have layers.), cooking classes, segway tours, and anything else that seems interesting or fun!

Now, just like coffee, Miss Brown's tastes are rich and distinctive, but her pocket book is not. For the reader, this means that the vast majority of events that I will be attending will be reasonably priced. But, what fun would writing about experiences from a position of unlimited resources be? Okay, you're right. That might be a lot of fun. Lol! But, unless someone can in box me next week's winning Lotto numbers, writing about events from a position of unlimited resources will most assuredly not be the focus of this blog. Oh, and by the way, at the end of each post, I will add the cost of the event. That way, if you see something that you would like to do, you will know that it's in your price range. (You're welcome.) I'm currently ironing out all of the rough edges and should begin posting soon. So, you are about to experience me in all my fabulous, quirky, friendly, multifaceted, all that plus tax, bad ass glory. Strap in and I hope that you will enjoy it! Talk to you soon!

Keep it hot and sweet!
